   Pola is a Polish dancer and choreographer based in London. She graduated from Kingston University with an Upper Second Class BA (Hons)Degree in Dance. She recently finished a Post Graduate Certificate in Physical Theatre led by Jasmin Vardimon and Mafalda Deville at Royal Holloway University London. She is currently undertaking an MA Contemporary Performance Practices also at Royal Holloway University.

She trained with a number of artists in a variety of styles such as Leila McMillan (Flying Low), James Cousins, Thomas Steyaert (Ultima Vez), Manuel Ronda (Ultima Vez), Idan Porges (Batsheva Dance Company), Renaud Wiser, Laura Aris Alvarez (Ultima Vez) and duo Linda Kapetanea and Josef Frucek (Rootlessroot). She also has experience in African Dance (Alesandra Seutin, Vocab Dance) and GAGA (Natalia Iwaniec).

 

 

   Pola performed and devised performances for a number of festivals such as Footprint (2014, London), Blueprint (2014,London), Ignition Dance Festival (2014, 2015, Kingston upon Thames), UK Young Artists Leicester (2014, Leicester), twice at the prestigious Resolution (2015, London) at The Place and SPACER Contemporary Dance Festival (2015, Cracow) in Poland. 

 

   From 2012 a dancer of The Company under artistic directory of Lee Griffiths based in Kingston upon Thames, London.

 

   In 2014 Pola founded What is Written Dance Company alongside Vivianna Rocha and Jean Pierre and remained an artistic director of the company until 2015.
 

 

Pola aims to train in a variety of styles in order to develop a new, innovative movement vocabulary to create engaging, thought-provoking, socially-driven physical performances deriving from a mixture of different dance styles and art forms.
